Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah participated here today in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states and the Kingdom of Morocco joint ministerial meeting.
The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, president of the current session of the Ministerial Council.
Participants in the meeting reviewed cooperation between the GCC states and Morocco, and ways to boost it. Discussions also centered around the developments in Gaza Strip and Rafah City, with participants emphasizing the urgent need for a ceasefire and the establishment of humanitarian corridors to ensure the delivery of essential assistance, including food and medical aid, to Gaza Strip.
Participants also discussed efforts to stop the grave violations of international humanitarian law in Gaza Strip and Rafah City, and emphasized their support for a peace process and the fulfillment of the Palestinian people's rights to statehood, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with relevant international resolutions.
